Refund Policy

1. Trial Period

The $9 trial fee is non-refundable. This fee grants you immediate access to the Service and your first lookup report.

You may cancel your subscription at any time during or after the trial period to prevent future monthly charges, but the initial $9 trial fee will not be refunded.

2. Monthly Subscription Refunds

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. However, you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.

2.1 Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial months
  • Unused lookup credits do not carry over or convert to refunds
  • You will not be charged for subsequent months

3. Exceptional Circumstances

We may consider refund requests outside the trial period in exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Service Outages: Extended downtime preventing you from using the Service
  • Billing Errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect amounts
  • Technical Issues: Critical bugs that prevent core functionality

These refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed. Contact support@deeplooks.app with details.

4. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your credit card company instead of contacting us for a refund:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • We may terminate your account if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
  • You may be held liable for chargeback fees and legal costs

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

  • Processing Time: 5-7 business days from approval
  • Refund Method: Original payment method used at purchase
  • Bank Processing: May take additional 3-5 business days to appear in your account

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Trial fee ($9): Non-refundable upon purchase
  • Completed lookup searches (data already delivered)
  • Monthly subscription fees
  • Upgrade fees when switching between plans
  • Third-party services or add-ons

7. Fair Use Policy

Abuse of our refund policy may result in:

  • Denial of future refund requests
  • Account suspension or termination
  • Being banned from creating new accounts

Examples of abuse include repeatedly signing up for trials and requesting refunds, or requesting refunds after extensively using the Service.

8. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Billing Dashboard: Navigate to Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel
  • Stripe Customer Portal: Click "Open Billing Portal" in your billing settings
